Auto Accidents

Auto Accident, Neck Pain, Car accident

Auto Injuries Require Immediate Attention!

Even a “minor” crash can result in serious injuries like ligament sprains. This can lead to chronic pain and disability if not treated promptly. In fact, research shows that early treatment is the best way to prevent long-term symptoms. Chiropractic adjustments and therapy are effective because they help restore the mechanical function of your joints, and promote the healthy, normal function of your nervous system, without the use of drugs or surgery.

Time Is Limited.

Under Florida law, a victim of an auto accident has just 14 day from the date of the crash to get medical attention, in order for PIP insurance to cover their claim.  Your treatment may not be covered by your PIP Insurance carrier, if you have not at least been examined by a physician (chiropractor, medical doctor, osteopathic physician) within the first 14 day period.

What To Do.

If you think you've been injured, immediately report your accident and your injury to your insurance company.  For acute symptoms, call 911 or go directly to the hospital. Call us if you have any questions.

You May Experience Delayed Pain

It's been our experience that in most cases, the effects of an accident surface days, often weeks later.  Indeed most of our patients reported they began experiencing pain no sooner than 2 days and up to 2 weeks post-accident.  Treating these fresh injuries early reduces the extent of scarring, improves functionality and improves the odds of a successful recovery.

Seek Out Chiropractic

Unique to the treatment of soft-tissue injuries is the application of physical therapy and joint mobilization, (spinal manipulation/adjustment.)  The chiropractor is uniquely qualified to restore the mechanical and functional compromises caused by an auto accident.  Think of it this way...

...Just as it was the mechanical force that damaged your vehicle in a collision, so too will the distorted and torn soft-tissue of your body require the mechanical approach to restore the mobility of your spinal joints and integrity of your muscles, tendons , ligaments and nerve tissue, through chiropractic.
